STEP 1
SHARED VISION

Before contracts are signed or fabrics and tiles are ordered, we have to get to know each other. Design is intimate. You live within it, use it every day, and have to love each aesthetic choice (or at least understand it within the context). The best way to start is with a preliminary in-person or virtual call to understand the overarching vision of the project. From this initial conversation, we can begin the discovery process, which will include a discussion of rough numbers, including fees and budgets, as well as creating a mood board for the project. These discussions will empower you to confidently assess whether our ideas complement your own and our firm is a good match for your current design needs.

Once we are formally working together, we’ll revisit all of the comments and insights captured during our initial discovery process and discuss the project in full detail before getting started, ensuring that no new ideas are left behind.

STEP 2
DESIGN

Benjamin Price will be curating exclusive, innovative and thoughtful design elements specific to your project. Design meetings can take place virtually, or in person, based on your needs. You will be given access to a virtual design board, as well as physical sample trays where applicable so you may review and approve each and every aspect of the design.

When construction is involved, we will prioritize architectural features over furnishings and decor. This offers an exciting step in the design process where collaborating with a talented architect and/or general contractor is key to a unified vision. Each project becomes more interesting, growing in layers and depth, when working with other talented contractors and crafts people.

STEP 3
QUOTING

All quotes for furniture, hard and soft material goods, and architectural elements (not including construction) can be arranged for review through PDC. It is essential to note that an accurate construction budget will only be available after the design phase is complete, as general contractors and subcontractors need those specifics to estimate their services and pricing.

Having the right handover meetings and relaying your approved design concept to select contractors is key.

STEP 4
EXECUTION

The execution phase is when the design implementation begins. Once approved and quoted, Price Design Collaborative will oversee the production, delivery, and installation of every design element. Periodic site visits and meetings will ensure the project is moving along as designed.

STEP 5
INSTALLATION

As soon as any construction or upgrades have been completed, PDC will coordinate with the project manager to ensure all deliveries are received and that all remaining furnishings and/or decor elements necessary are installed to fully complete your project. Final staging and accessorizing services are also available.

STEP 6
PHOTOGRAPHY

Once the project is completed, we would like to have the opportunity to coordinate a photoshoot of the interiors for our own marketing and portfolio as well as submit to awards and publications. This gives both designer and client an opportunity to capture the hard work of everyone involved and hopefully share with the world the beauty that we create together.
