LOVANGO RESORT: BEACH CLUB

The beach club is the vibrant heart of the island of Lovango. In its original form, the club consisted of a series of cabanas lining a large pool and a man-made beach flanked by assorted lounge chairs. After years of designing and working with a team of talented carpenters and engineers, we have created an all-encompassing hospitality experience complete with: fashion and provisions retail, full-service bar, wood-fired pizza and raw bar, sand pit equipped with dining and lounge space, and private cabana spaces with pristine views of the surrounding ocean and islands.

The sand pit was designed to create another public space for our guests to enjoy the beach club, play games, drink, eat and connect. Soft pink bean bags are the only pops of color outside of the greenery and blue skies and water, while the beige woven rope chairs, teak, and macrame umbrellas create a serene space — blending sand and rock with soft fabrics and carved wood.

Private cabanas elegantly rise from the sand and lead to a raised platform with double daybeds and full dining service. We designed these cabanas as “jungle hideaways”, surrounded by deep, lush landscaping to offer protection from the elements and neighboring eyes. The rock walls are constructed with an original method native to  the Caribbean and help ease the transition from sand to tropical jungle.
